Privacy policy

What personal data we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

1. Who is responsible

The data controller is Adapt Progress Evolve Limited, trading as Look Good Tools, company number 10047328, VAT GB362654684, Flat 304, 19 Rothbury Road, London, England, E9 5PB. For anything about your data, email hello@lookgoodtools.com.

2. What we collect

  • Your account: your email address (you sign in with a link or code we email you), your name if you give it, your plan and credit balance, and your billing details, which Stripe holds.
  • Your files and content: the data, documents and brand assets you upload, and the charts and decks made from them. See Your files.
  • Payments: Stripe takes your card payment. We receive the fact and amount of payment, your plan and a customer reference, not your full card number.
  • Waitlist: if you ask to hear about Reportsmade, we keep your email address and the page you signed up on, only to tell you when it is ready.
  • Anonymous site statistics: which pages are viewed, how far down they are read, the page you came from, a rough device size and the country your visit comes from. We use a random per-tab ID that is forgotten when you close the tab. We do not store your IP address or your browser's user agent in these statistics, and we set no cookies for them. Your browser's Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track setting switches them off, and so does the opt-out on our cookies page.
  • Abuse protection: to stop sign-in being abused we keep your IP address for up to 24 hours. To stop forms and free tools being flooded we keep a salted one-way hash of your IP address, which cannot be turned back into the address.
  • Connected apps: if you connect an app such as Claude to your account, it can make charts and decks and spend your credits on your behalf until you disconnect it.

3. Why, and on what legal basis

  • To provide the Service you ask for and take payment (performance of a contract).
  • To keep the Service secure and stop abuse, and to understand in aggregate how the site is used (our legitimate interests).
  • To tell you about Reportsmade if you joined the waitlist (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
  • To meet tax and accounting rules (legal obligation).

4. Who else handles your data

We use a small number of service providers to run the Service. They act on our instructions.

  • Stripe, for payments and billing details.
  • Cloudflare, for hosting and for storing accounts, charts, decks, uploads, the waitlist and site statistics.
  • Resend, to send sign-in emails.
  • Anthropic, whose Claude models write deck outlines and turn plain-English requests into charts. It does not train on what we send (see Your files).
  • Hetzner, whose servers in the EU build decks from your files.

We do not sell personal data.

5. International transfers

Some of these providers are based outside the UK. Where personal data leaves the UK we rely on an adequacy decision, or on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU standard contractual clauses.

6. How long we keep it

Account data: while your account is open. When you delete your account, it is deleted at once, in every Look Good Tools product. Content: see Your files. Payment records: Stripe keeps the customer record and invoices for 6 years, because UK tax law (HMRC) requires it. When you delete your account we keep a record of the deletion for 6 years, in case of a refund request, a dispute or a chargeback: your email address, your plans and payments, what you agreed to at checkout, and how you used your credits. It holds nothing you made, and we delete it after 6 years. Records of model spend are kept with no link to you, for cost and abuse limits. Waitlist addresses: until Reportsmade launches and we have told you, or until you ask us to remove you. Site statistics: kept in anonymous form.

7. Your rights

You can delete your account yourself at any time at account.lookgoodtools.com/account. You confirm with a code we email you and by typing DELETE. Deletion is immediate and final, it cancels any paid plan at once with no refund for the rest of the period (refunds are decided under the refund policy), and it finishes in every product within minutes. If you cannot sign in, email us and we will close your account. Apart from the records described in section 6, nothing is kept. You can also ask to see the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, move it to another service, and withdraw consent. Email hello@lookgoodtools.com. If you are unhappy with our answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will say so on this page and, where we can, by email.
